A Brief History

College Startup was started by Ben Bleikamp, a student at The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH. Ben is well known for his great blog designs as well as his unique insight and passion for entrepreneurship and blogging. Many people recognize Ben as their inspiration for web-based business startups.

College Startup is now run by several individuals who hope to take Ben's vision and run with it (though any shortcomings are our own fault, and not Ben's). Ryan Caldwell is a graduate student focusing on Bioinformatics. His current partner in crime is Kitty Collier, a jack-of-all-trades when it comes to running online businesses.

The site

Initially Ben started this blog to "teach" people how to make money from their dorm room. It has turned into more than that. It's a blog about the web, about business, about entrepreneurship, and we hope it applies to anyone (not just college students) interested in capitalizing on the huge potential that this beautiful internet provides.
