Great post. You can also get indexed in google within 24 hours by submitting press releases to high PR rand news media websites. It even works in hours sometimes and you don’t have to wait a whole day. There is a trick to it, though. You have to use a niche keyword or keyphrase in the Press Release title and not one of those broad competitive keyword phrases. After you have submitted your press release, use the press release link and submit to digg, propeller, dropjack, and other similar bookmark websites.

Great post. The insight about Digg explains why I rarely if ever see any increase in traffic after posting there. Now knowing Digg is primarily tech helps too.

The information about Reddit and Netscape is priceless and I will have accounts with them before days end…Thanks so much for the information

This reminds me of what http://www.filmcrave.com has done. It seems like I see them on everything from digg to reddit to netscape and beyond. A social networking site centered around movies seems to maybe have found what it was looking for. Members coming in fast. It seems they have at least somewhat followed your advice.

I’m pretty new to blogging, and I really wanted to get more traffic. I submitted to reddit and Netscape, and the next day went from about 18 hits a day to over 130! Thanks!

Thanks for the tips! Digg does seem to be over-rated. I’ll definitely be trying Reddit and Netscape and will pass on the results that are obtained.
