A New, Legit Way To Make Money On Your Blog

The following is a paid review:

If you’ve ever run a blog for more than three months you know that at certain points in time you wonder to yourself: “Is all this upkeep worth the effort?”

Seriously, making money off blogs is no easy task. But worse still is the fact that you’ve got to pour lots of energy into a blog to keep it fresh and interesting. But to keep it fresh and interesting, you’ve got to come up with new ideas. But to constantly come up with new ideas, you really need the incentive of an income stream.

The good news is that every day, there are new and reliable ways to monetize your blog. When a really good opportunity comes out, I jump at it. After all, at the end of the day, running a business is all about the bottom line.

A couple months ago a company called PayPerPost launched a service to monetize your blog. I didn’t jump. You know why? Two reasons. First, the payouts were terrible. Too much work for too little pay. Second, I didn’t like their policy of not requiring full disclosure that a given post on your blog was paid for.

Just a few days ago, a new service called ReviewMe launched. This time I jumped. You know why? If your blog is good, the payouts are phenomenal. But not only that, the products are worth reviewing (it won’t feel like I’m selling my soul) and THEY FORCE DISCLOSURE! This was key for me.

I’ve only been using ReviewMe for a day now, but it’s quick and easy to signup, and the user interface is top notch. That’s not surprising since world famous Mr. Chris Pearson did the design. If you own multiple blogs, adding blogs is a snap. Not all blogs are accepted, but if your blog does get accepted, then it is ranked by an algorithm on a 1-5 scale based on its total backlinks, Technorati links, and estimated RSS subscribers. I submitted three blogs and each one got a different ranking. To make a long story short, the payout that you receive for your posts is conditional on the ranking that your blog gets.

What it comes down to is this: when I’m monetizing my websites, I want to keep it simple and easy. I want to maximize payout and minimize the amount of work overhead that’s required for monetization. That’s why I don’t use Amazon affiliate links very often and I do use Google AdSense. So far, ReviewMe seems to not only be simple to use but also makes the time I spend with it worthwhile. So if you have an established blog, I totally recommend monetizing with ReviewMe.

Hi Ryan,
I was totally against PPP, but I checked out ReviewMe for the same reasons you’ve mentioned in this post. I applied, but my main blog wasn’t accepted (probably because it’s less than 90 days old). I’ll consider this in the future, though.
