I’m willing to argue that the single most important thing that an online business can do is build it’s brand. Brand building is about getting attention and differentiating your company from a sea of mediocrity.

The fact is that sometimes brand building doesn’t create immediate results. And often times, brand building doesn’t result in direct monetization. For that reason, many sites get stuck in the local maxima that I like to call “the quick and easy.”

Well, the real money online isn’t “quick and easy” – it take work, creativity, and differentiation.

To make my point as loudly as possible, I’ve decided to beef up the PopCrunch brand by investing in a weekly celebrity gossip video show affectionately called The PopCrunch Show. This is something of a resurrection, complete with a metamorphosis, but I’d be interested in knowing what ya’ll think of the show.
