Content websites
Jonathan Wold has a lot of posts recently about niche marketing and content websites. Jonathan is an experienced internet entrepreneur, but anyone can get into the content site business. If you have a content website that makes $2 a day it may seem like a trivial amount of money - but why not make 30 content websites that make $2 a day? You’re suddenly making $60 a day, and as long as you have the time to make some more websites, that keeps growing.
I haven’t experimented too much with content websites, but I can tell you that in my first day of running this website I made $1.37 from Google AdSense - not bad. I haven’t even tried to optimize the ads and I still have to sign up for some more affiliate programs.
The amount of money you can make from content websites is infinite, you just have to find a topic that no one else noticed. Jonathan has two sites that you might think sound ridiculous - one about sump pump information and another about mold. Why? Jonathan is probably much better at marketing and web design than anyone else running websites about mold and sump pumps - why not use his expertise to get a high search engine ranking for those highly targeted markets and serve advertisements on the pages?
If you want to create a website about mortgages or the stock market you better be prepared to work very hard - those fields are highly competitive. But the trade-off is that the advertisements from these websites can pay substantially more.
I plan on developing a large network of content sites in the near future, I will begin documenting my successes and failures here and hopefully some of you can help me out ![]()
