How to deliver the best customer service
Everyone knows how excellent customer service contributes to the growth and success of a business. It’s actually the main distinguishing factor now. As famous author Richard Whitely said in his best-selling book, “The Customer Driven Company,” “The only right way to run a company - and the most profitable way - is to saturate your company with the voice of the customer.”
True indeed, that’s basically the reason why almost every business owner today struggles to give the best customer service. And it’s something YOU must do too!
Keep your customers coming back with the following customer service tips.
- Always smile. Regardless of how you handle concerns – be it on phone or personally – always smile when talking to a customer. It sets the mood for a light, friendly conversation.
- Be a good listener. Nobody wants to be ignored. Whether or not a client says good things about you or your biz, you must condition yourself to listen. Who knows, he/she can give smart suggestions you can do to improve.
- Attend trainings. A lot of business owners still do not know how to handle customers well. In case you’re one of them, you can choose to attend seminars and trainings to develop your skills in building customer relations.
- Only promise what you can deliver. If you promise something to a customer, mark your word for it. Be sure you can comply, as only idiots look forward to nothing.
- Create ways to assist your customers. Especially so if you’re in a big company, you have to make all lines of communication open for your clients – always, I mean, all the time. Make sure clients know how to reach you by making your contact information public.
- You are a customer yourself. Always remember how it feels to be a customer, as you are also one. Think the way customers think. This is the only way you can understand their concerns.
