Another attempt at niche marketing
I’ve been avoiding working on niche content sites for a while, but I’ve decided to give it another go. My first attempt in a while is located at GamingPCGuide.com. The goal of the site is to review computers, computer hardware, etc. Down the line, if it’s making a decent monthly income I might keep it. If I think I can get a decent return in a few weeks, I might sell it. It depends on how quickly the site grows.
The problem is, I don’t know much about gaming computers - something that you’ll likely find evident if you read any of the articles. The monetization plan is AdSense and affiliate marketing. I’ve had success with the Alienware affiliate program, I actually made a nice paycheck a few months back after someone bought an expensive computer through my affiliate link. I’ve also signed up for some consumer electronic outlet affiliate programs and integrated AdSense into the site.
So what next? Well, since I don’t feel like I know much about affiliate marketing, I think the best option is to hire a writer or two. So, if you’re interested in writing and you’re familiar with gaming computers, send an email to ben.bleikamp [at] gmail [dot] com and hopefully we’ll be able to work out a deal.
My goal, this summer at least, is to be able to earn about $300 profit a month ($10 a day) from AdSense only. Obviously I’ll be earning some more money from affiliate marketing and other projects, but if I can earn $300 a month from AdSense I’ll be able to afford a new car from AdSense alone. Cool.
