It’s NewsDay, finally
I just “released” NewsDay at the NewsDay homepage. I will preface this release with a warning: do not install NewsDay unless you have some experience working with WordPress themes. I’m releasing it because I’ve been getting emails lately from people that wanted to use the theme.
I’m very happy with how the design of NewsDay turned out, and that is part of the reason I am finally releasing it. Of course, I have not tested it on any browser or operating system except Firefox in Windows XP. That only accounts for about 60% of the visitors to College Startup and probably smaller percentages on some sites.
In future releases I will clean up code, rearrange the sidebar code so that it’s all in one file, utilize conditionals, etc. This was my first attempt at a WordPress theme and I learned quite a bit.
Later this month I plan on releasing InsideWii.net’s design as a theme – although it will be edited quite a bit and I’ll be changing it to something less focused on “niche blogging” and more focused on just a cool looking blog.
If you do decide to use NewsDay, let me know – it’s always fun to see people using something I’ve designed.
