Plans for 2006
Now that Christmas is over I can start thinking about 2006. Everyone seems to be listing their predictions for 2006 (except the cowboy) and they’re all talking about what companies will be bought, which bloggers will make it “big,” and which big company’s stock price will drop 15% from $430 per share.
I’m not going to do that, but I will let you know what my plans are for 2006.
With the recent success of The Poker Blog sale I got quite a few hits to this site. People seem interested in flipping blogs, and I think that’s good. I’m going to develop a new blog in January or Feburary to flip, my goal is $3,000 in 2 months. It will require quite a bit of work with writing content, optimizing ads, and some SEO, but I think it’s possible. My plan is to explain each step of the process here so that people who are interested in selling blogs can learn what to do.
I will be doing quite a bit of design work, at least through January. I’ve been working with Chris Pearson on some designs and hopefully we’ll keep getting work requests. If you want blog design, web design, or any XHTML/CSS coding done, contact me.
This blog has opened up a lot of opportunities for me, I get emails everyday from people asking me to help with this project or that design. I obviously can’t say yes to them all, so I’ve said yes to the ones that I think are going to be the most fun and might have a nice payoff down the road. Here is a hint of what one of the projects is. I’m excited.
What else…
I’ve been contacted by a few blog network asking me to write, and while I can’t say yes right now, I might be interested at some point in 2006. I’ve been contacted by a few people regarding internships for the summer, which is awesome. And I’ve got a light schedule at school, or at least it looks light on paper. I’m not sure what my new goal is for the end of the quarter in terms of money, but I do have goals in terms of items I want to buy (Intel Powerbook, Apple cinema display, a car…), so we’ll see how it goes.
I hope everyone had a good Christmas or a happy holiday.
