The Second New College Startup Blogger
Hello everyone, my name is Nick, and Ryan chose me to be the new partner for College Startup, which I hope to turn into a beneficial, long term collaboration. I’m a freshman into the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota where I plan to major in Entrepreneurial Management and Finance.
I’ve been following the blogosphere and webmaster scene pretty closely over the past year and a half, and I’d like to give professional web development a chance in the next few years, and see if it’s a business that can support my career/lifestyle goals after college. Four years of experimentation and development should give me a fair idea of whether it is possible.
For my future contributions to College Startup, I’ll do my best to cover professional blogging and its viability as a business model (especially to college aged students). But in addition to online revenue streams available to college students, I may dip into some offline business ventures and may create a few novice-friendly articles, so bear with me if some of the articles seem a little too fledging.
I’m excited and looking forward to contributing to College Startup, and you will be sure to learn much more about my ventures and websites from my future posts. –Nick
