This information need not be limited to company news and product or service promotions. You can actually provide other relevant information regarding your service - for free. You can give out tips and other helpful ideas that will be useful to your clients.

Though ezines are a popular way of keeping an open communication channel to customers, there are some cases wherein publishing an ezine may not make sense. This is particularly relevant to those who have a very limited client base. So for those starting out, publishing an ezine may be more productive a little later on down the line when you have quite a few clients. However, you don’t need to wait for your client base to skyrocket before sending out an ezine regularly. In fact, an ezine may serve as an advertising tool as well and attract new customers for your business.

How Do You Go About It?
A word of caution: with the notoriety of spam today, you cannot afford to have people consider your ezine as spam. So make sure that you ask customers whether or not they want to receive your newsletter. Organize your mailing list and make sure that you keep it up to date. Delete people who opt to be excluded from the list. Be active and invite people to join the mailing list to broaden your market.

It’s All In the Content
At the end of the day, what will determine the success of your ezine is what’s in it. You may have the best graphics on earth but if the content is worthless, then no one would want to receive your newsletter. The bottom line is to provide an additional service to your customers for free.
