I got a note from Darek via email that I wanted to pass onto College Startup readers. As a high school student, Darek has found a way to use his design skills to make some extra cash in his free time. Kudos and keep living the dream!
Hey Ryan,
I love your College Startup blog (though I’m only in high school). In making money online what has worked the best for me are design contests. I go to 99designs.com. Over the past two months I’ve made about $900 just in my spare time after school.
I expect this will only work for some people who have design talent, but it is relatively easy and enjoyable work. I’m getting ready to make some serious websites during the summer!
