How to get a list of the total number of unique domains linking to your site?

That’s the question. It probably exposes my ignorance. But anyhow, does anyone know of any easy search command on any of the major search engines that let’s you see *not* total links but total unique domains?

You can download a list of links to your site from the Google Sitemaps page. Then you’d have to sort the list.

So “no” there isn’t a command, but “yes” there is a way. I made a script that will reward users who put their affiliate link on their site. It only counts once per domain.

Have you tried the new funcionality in Google Sitemaps to see incoming links?

Yeah downloading it via Sitemaps is definitely the way to do it, then maybe whip together a quick PHP script to parse out the unique URLs.
