4 Simple Steps To Real World Sales

June 25th, 20070 comments

It only took me 1 Month to start pumping up sales to the real world business. I’m actually suprised at how fast this has been. I’m not sure what I’ve done right but I have an idea.

In my last post I talked about SEO Warfare and some of these things I have done to increase the site’s profile in Search Engines. The niche is a fairly weak one. So its not indefensible.

However the one thing I would say to focus on is what many people call The Long Tail. I use Aaron Wall’s Keyword Tool and focus on building my site yes based on two factors Search Engine Traffic, and Users. At first I thought its going to be to hard to take on the established old domains but truthfully the one thing I can do better is build on a solid platform, work harder, focus on the long tail and then pray that Google sorts it all out. And they usually do. For a little information on what I’m talking about head over here read about my Online/Offline Partnership and head back over here.

Here’s some quick ideas to help drive any site or startup to success IMMEDIATELY.
1. Build on a successful platform
Even Guy Kawasaki used WordPress with Truemors. Why? Because it just works.

2. Use solid Web Standards
I used The CopyBlogger Theme because it just works and I know Pearson does good code and that’s just one thing I dont have to focus on.

3. Build a wide net of quality links.
Go the extra mile with link building especially in the beginning.

4. Build High Quality Content
Building strong content is key for any site whether its an ecommerce site or a blog. Don’t go cheap on content. Always always invest in high quality content. Whether that investment is your time or your money. Quality Content drives links, and drives sales.
